There’s a substantive conversation about Chanukah and Zionism going on in response to Ariel’s post, Standing up Before the Slaughter. Take a look at the comments.
Here’s some reading to chase away the post Chanukah blues:
- The WZO has launched its Israel @ 60 blog featuring authors David Breakstone, Gil Troy, David Brinn, and Barry Leff.
- Eliezer Israel, a close friend and rising star in the field of web and tech, just launched a new blog called “Sowing Light.” This is must reading for anyone interested in web and tech.
- Speaking of web and tech, for those of you who missed it, Israeli startup “Yedda” was acquired by AOL last month.
- And, last web and tech point, Israeli Company Unicell has announced a new Facebook application developer challenge. Despite its somewhat Maoist sounding name (”The Next Israeli Killer Application for Facebook Challenge”), it promises to be lots of fun [links to a Hebrew blog…but that shouldn’t stop you Zionists].
- Bible Raps for the uninitiated: PresenTense Institute for Creative Zionism fellow Matt Bar, aka the Bible Rapper, has put up some of his new stuff at the Bible Rap project website. Take a listen, and watch the slide show. You’ll love it.
So stay warm/cool out there in the Diaspora, and enjoy the warm weather in Israel while it lasts. Happy post-Chanukah!
UPDATE: This didn’t make it into the original list, but Israeli Startup ClickTale just received funding from a European VC. It is a pretty excellent service already. Any web developers or site managers who want to watch their users interact with their site should check it out.
